Welcome Firetron!


PURPOSE
This website is to help everyone become familiar with the new location and structure of our data as we proceed to retire our in-house file servers, Sharepoint, and OneDrive over the next several weeks. The new location will be on Azure. The new structure is represented by the hierarchy of the navigation menu above. Please use it as a reference to stay informed on how the coming changes will affect processes relevant to your role. This migration will be performed in phases with a target completion date of 12/1/24. A more descriptive timeline will be available soon.

EXPLANATION
Previously, our different branches would access & manage data based on how their location chose to organize it. (Example: All office employees within the Service division will access & modify inspection / monitoring files within a single location, where our customers’ info is separated into folders named by their complete address. Because there are no filename length restrictions on Azure, folder names can now include city, state, and zip which will allow us to keep everything centralized, but also search or filter by location) Moving forward, all data will be organized based on division and not branch location. This more cohesive organizational approach is inline with the vision of our CEO.

APPROACH
Because there will be many fluid changes during this migration, Firetron.works will be the best resource for members of each division to stay informed on the who/what/when/where/why/how those changes are being implemented. Instead of sending an email to multiple users every time a change is made, you can reference this website for the latest details & instructions relevant to your division & position.

APPRECIATION
We do recognize that many are resistant to change, but please understand that as we strive to provide better standardization & training, that will ultimately result in minimal impact w/ future modifications. Thank you all for your patience and participation as we continue to improve our IT infrastructure 🙂
